From a bare patch of Bermuda grass to a dynamic prairie-style garden, this backyard underwent a night and day transformation. We created a berm as the central feature of the space, with pea gravel paths leading to the existing vegetable garden and chicken coop. Each bed is dense with a diverse array of ornamental trees, wildflowers, grasses, yuccas, and shrubs, giving the garden year-round interest and providing a haven for native wildlife. Homeowners unwind in the dedicated seating area overlooking their backyard prairie and adjoining pastureland.
