Trinity River Audubon Center
Nestled into the Great Trinity Forest in South Dallas, the 120-acre Trinity River Audubon Center sits on what used to be the largest illegal dump in the state of Texas.
Together with the City of Dallas, National Audubon Society and a host of dedicated individuals worked to remediate the site into the natural oasis it is today. Since its opening in 2004, over 800 species have been recorded at the center — a true testament to what is possible when we come together and restore the land to its natural state.
In 2021, we had the opportunity to design and install a large pollinator garden at TRAC. The garden utilizes native plants that are more commonly found at local nurseries, and aims to inspire visitors to implement similar gardens at home.
